Accommodation

The Surf Affinity camp is nestled among the pine forests of Les Landes. Chilled out and laid back, all amenities such as hot showers and clean toilets are available. Our large canvas frame tents are roomy and it’s easy to collapse into the comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep. Socialize around the large dinner table or even soak up the evening sunshine from the comfort of the hammock!

Food

On most nights you can sit back and sip upon an evening aperitif while we prepare healthy home-cooked meals such as salads, stir-fries, risottos and sunset beach BBQs. However, on a couple of nights we take you out and about to sample the local cuisine so bring your pocket money for any meals out. Obviously we’re always up at the crack of dawn each morning to provide you with a hearty breakfast! All dietary requirements are taken into consideration when setting our menu for the week and these food options will be discussed with you when you make your booking.

Eco-Friendly

The pine forest of the Landes is the largest in Europe and we strive to maintain the beauty of the area. We grow our own vegetables and are very proud of our yearly crop of tomatoes, peppers and our plentiful herb garden! We reduce the amount of electricity we use by having candle- lit dinners and we always recycle, keeping waste to a minimum. Bikes are a great way to travel, as there are plenty of bike tracks in the area and not a hill in sight!

Activities

With such long, warm evenings, you can be as active or as lazy as you like! We arrange various activities such as beach BBQ parties, massages or art workshops creating your own Nalu Bead jewelry. We can also offer yoga sessions from our yoga instructor, pro-snowboarder Caroline Beliard. She has developed a special beach yoga session specially designed to teach you movements that will help with your surfing. Our camp is near Hossegor, which is at the heart of European surf culture and is perfect for pro-spotting and stumbling across the odd party! There are lots of concerts, competitions and other exciting things going on throughout the summer, including world class surfing events such as the WCT Quiksilver Pro France or all girl comps such as the Roxy Jam. There’s plenty to do in the area, with restaurants, cafes and markets nearby where you can sample the local produce. You can play beach volleyball or go for a sunset surf or, if you prefer a drink, the funky surf hangout ‘Le Surfing’ is spot on for live music.
